ABOUT THE
SONS of the AMERICAN REVOLUTION

The Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) is a patriotic, lineage-based organization in the United States with roots in preserving the legacy of the American Revolution.

The SAR organization exists primarily to:

1. Preserve Revolutionary War History - Promote knowledge of the founding era of the United States. Support museums, archives, and historical research

2. Honor Patriot Ancestors - Membership is open to men who can prove direct descent from someone who supported the American cause (soldiers, statesmen, or even civilians who aided the revolution)

3. Promote Patriotism & Civic Responsibility - Encourage civic engagement and respect for American institutions. Sponsor educational programs, scholarships, and ROTC/JROTC awards

4. Educational Outreach - Work with schools and communities to teach about the founding principles of the U.S. Host events, reenactments, and public ceremonies

Redlands Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution

The Redlands Chapter is chartered by the California Society, Sons of the American Revolution. The Redlands Chapter’s principal location is in Redlands, San Bernardino County, California.

The Redlands Chapter’s historical area of influence is Redlands as the center and running along the 10-freeway corridor going East to Calimesa which was extended to Beaumont; going West to Pomona and going North to the High Desert of Phalen, Hesperia and Victorville.

Meetings: Meeting – no breakfast – at 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at 1200 California St., Redlands in the downstair conference room on the 3rd Saturday of the month (excluding June, July and August)
